Three-year-old filly pacer Cabrini Hanover found her way to the winner's circle for the first time in four starts this year Thursday night at the Meadowlands, capturing a $26,500 contest restricted to members of her division. With Brian Sears driving, Cabrini Hanover led at every call to win in 1:51.3, edging Savannah Sky (David Miller) by a half length.

A five-time winner in seven starts last year, including the $540,617 She's A Great Lady final at Woodbine, Cabrini Hanover was runner-up for divisional honors behind Restive Hanover, who she finished fifth behind in the Breeders Crown final. Cabrini Hanover was coming off a third-place finish in the $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final June 24 at the Meadowlands, and she also had another third and a second in her prior attempts.

Trained by Jimmy Takter for owners Bob Anderson and David Willmot, the daughter of Western Ideal-Cathedra is headed for the upcoming Mistletoe Shalee at the Big M.
