Hall of Famer John Campbell spent Monday night back in the area of his hometown to be part of the Rogers Sports Celebrity Dinner alongside former Toronto Maple Leaf great Curtis Joseph and Toronto Blue Jays notable Jesse Barfield, among others.
In a story in the London (Ont.) Free-Press, Campbell admits that he knows he has getting closer to retirement, but adds, "Horses are addictive. It gets in your blood. You keep looking for that next great one and that's what we're all trying to do."
He also recalled that as a young boy, "...if you didn't sweep out the barn first, you weren't going to get near a horse."
