Carol Dauplaise, mother of Jeff Dauplaise, dies

New York media outlets have reported that Carol Dauplaise, the mother of horseman Jeff Dauplaise and widow of the late Norman Dauplaise, died in Midtown Manhattan Monday morning after she was struck by a livery cab. According to reports, Mrs. Dauplaise, 77, died despite the efforts of Good Samaritans who rushed to her aid.
According to reports, Mrs. Dauplaise was walking with a blue cart near Madison Ave. and E. 36th St. — about five blocks from her home — when a 2013 black Toyota Camry slammed into her at about 8:35 a.m., authorities and witnesses said.
