Tony Morgan scored his 13th of 14 wins during the meet by driving the 4-year-old altered son of Cambest to a 1:53.4 victory for Sam Jacobs and Crissman Inc. Drive Boy (Tim Tetrick) was runner-up with Five Cougars A (Jim Morand) the show finisher. Cash Only Please was claimed out of the race for the third time in his last four starts.
In a $10,000 male pace, Glasscutters Atom, a recent import from Australia owned by Chad Tate and Todd Adams, won for the first time in the U.S. as Morand scored his third win of the day by guiding the 6-year-old gelding to a 1:52 victory for trainer Les Givens. Tandar Hanover (Eddie Davis Jr.) took second money. The Phantoms Guest (Tetrick), the public\'s choice, was the third-place finisher.
Sty Brewer\'s Swinging Scooter A closed with a rush for Morand to notch a victory in a $20,000 claiming allowance pace. Northmedo Lex (Mike Cole) was second with Battersby N (Kim Vincent) third.
Bill Emmons\' race favorite Midnight Eyre N got up for Tetrick in 1:54 to win a $20,000 claiming pace, holding off Sonnie\'s Sonofagun (Victory Kirby) and Biojoba (Morand).
