Kikikatie, forced to miss this year's Breeders Crown when a Coggins scare at The Red Mile kept the 3-year-old pacing filly in her barn, will instead race in a $16,500 Open Pace for fillies and mares at Balmoral Park Thursday night.

Kikikatie, who finished fourth in a division of the Glen Garnsey Memorial Pace at The Red Mile Oct. 8, drew post one in the field and will be driven by Dale Hiteman. She was one of seven distaffers that drew for post positions, while Illinois standout filly Parklane Powerful was given post eight and veteran mare Cinder Best was handed the outside nine post.

Trainer Joe Seekman's stable was one of several quarantined at The Red Mile while a possible Coggins positive on a horse from another stable was being investigated. The final test results were negative, but they came a few hours after the Breeders Crown entry box closed.
