Chloes Silver Star, Shady Sabrina win at Dover

Chloes Silver Star, one of four Ron Pierce wins, took the $32,000 Mares Open pace while Shady Sabrina and Tim Tetrick won the $25,000 Mares Jr. Open Tuesday, March 31 at Dover Downs.
A late charge by Chloes Silver Star resulted in a 1:52.3 victory in the $32,000 female feature. Hopefull N cut out the early fractions with Brandon Givens in the bike until nearing the finish line, when Ron Pierce hustled his Intrepid Seelster-Silver Chloe 5 year old into high gear. Hopefull N held on for second. Ladyfield, with Tony Morgan also came on fast to finish third. Chloes Silver Star has now won three times with two seconds and three thirds in her 11 starts in 2009. She has now banked $73,660 this year for Gary Evans and Foulk Stables.
Tim Tetrick recorded his third win of the day steering Lorna Cohen\'s Shady Sabrina to victory in the $25,000 Mares Jr. Open pace. The Cam\'s Dignity - Mymymysharona 7 year old negotiated the mile in 1:53.4 scoring her fourth triumph of the campaign in eight starts. Real Janna (Eric Good ell) came on fast to finish second in front of India A (Ross Wolfenden.
Earlier, Tetrick guided Dynamic Dream to a 1:53.2 victory in a $17,500 Mares pace for Mike, Jordan and Adam Knicley. It was the Dream Away-Instamattic four-year-olds fifth win in seven races this year. Ireneonthemove (Jon Roberts) closed strongly to finish second. Ain\'t No Misfit (Roger Plante) was the show finisher.
Dream-A-While proved much the best in the $17,000 Mares pace for trainer-driver and co-owner Daryl Bier and partner Glenn DelRusso. The Dream Away-Christine eight-year-old won for the second time this year. Roses And Olives (Givens) enjoyed a 2-hole trip to the finish line. Madges Lil Fortune (Ross Wolfenden) was third. .
Ross Wolfenden moved closer to the 4,000-career win plateau driving Red High Heels to an impressive 1:53.2 victory in a $16,000 pace. In a $14,500 Mares pace, Jon Roberts drove Kellytuck Sophie from off the pace and the Cam\'s Magic Trick-Kellytuck Ann 7 year old flew past battling Lucy Thundercloud (Callahan), second, and Itz Cherry Ripe N (Wolfenden), third, to win her first race of the year. Bib Roberts, Crash Grace and M& W stables own the veteran pacer.
George Dennis, who has had a number of long shot wins of late chalked up another, driving Fivedollarsforsox from fifth at the three quarters and fourth at head of the lane to catch odds-on favorite Mignon (Wolfenden) at the wire in 1:57.2 to win the $14,000 top trot on the card. Jon Win (Kirby) was third. Dennis, his wife Tina and Ask W Stables own the SJ\'s Photo-Hurricane Bambi gelding
Ron Pierce drove four winners, Tim Tetrick had a triple. Ross Wolfenden, Brandon Givens, trainer Les Givens and Nanticoke Racing had two wins each. (Dover)
