Chris Brewer-Lehman, 81, dies

Chris Brewer-Lehman, 81 of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., formerly of South Fallsburg, N.Y. and Boca Raton, Fla., passed away peacefully on June 14. She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Max A. Brewer and survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Charles D. Lehman.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., and reared in Flourtown, Pa., Mrs. Brewer-Lehman attended Springfield High School in Erdenheim, Pa., and Philadelphia Museum School of Art in Philadelphia, PA. While raising her family in the South Fallsburg, N.Y. area, she owned The Brewer Standardbred Agency as an equine genealogist for Standardbred racehorses and employed many in the area. She was owner of many racehorses and sire stakes winners throughout the years. She was president of the United States Harness Writers Association Monticello/Goshen chapter. She was the Cub Scout/Boy Scout and Brownie/Girl Scout Leader for the Fallsburg area in the 1960s and ‘70s and loved by all the friends of her children.
Mrs. Brewer-Lehman is also survived by her three children, David M. Brewer of Westminster Calif., Carole Brewer Macedonio and her companion, Lee Marrero of Kiamesha Lake, N.Y., and John A. Brewer of Key West, Fla.; her two grandchildren, Ryan Macedonio of Middletown, N.Y. and Angela Macedonio of Highland, N.Y.; and her sister, Dorothy Z. Nowak of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
