Former O’Brien Award winner Chris Christoforou returned to the race bike on Friday night at Woodbine, after not having driven since February 1, and promptly scored in his first drive of the night with Bunny In The Bank in race four.

The 4-year-old daughter of Astreos, trained by Chris’s father, Charalambos, used a pylon-skimming trip to record her first victory of the season.

A career winner of more than 5,300 races, Christoforou recently completed a 45-day rehabilitation program in the U.S. and says he is very happy to be back doing what he loves.

“I’m feeling good and I just take it one day at a time,” he said following tonight’s win. “I just try to keep doing the right thing every day and try and stay on the straight and narrow.”

Christoforou also discussed his comeback and his approach to this season. To view the entire interview, click here
