Six more Claim To Fame Series divisions went postward on Tuesday afternoon at Miami Valley, two for $12,500 claiming mares and four for $8,000 horses and geldings. When the dust settled, 17 of the 53 horses that entered went home for new owners via the claim box.
Distaff winners were Melanies Sharkette (Chris Page, 1:57.1, $6.00 to win) over Well Wishers (Trevor Smith) and Rosie Kit (Joey Putnam); and Tammysmist (Dan Noble, 1:57.4, $15.20) beating Cheekie (Jason Brewer) and Likeafireballshot (Jeremy Smith).
Guns An Roses (Trace Tetrick, 1:56.1, $5.20) copped the first split for the $8,000 males, topping JJ’s Doughnut (Noble) and CC’s Desire (Brewer). Gold Star Lambeau (Tetrick, 1:56, $14.20) bested J K Hall (Josh Sutton) and Pier Ho Bigmach (Tyler Smith) in the second division; while Giovanni (Tetrick, 1:55, $7.80) got the nod over Star Guitar (Kyle Ater) and Village Jackson (Brewer) in the third. The fourth and final split went to Spunky Monkey (Page, 1:57.1, $13.80) over Superficial (Jeremy Smith) and Mcartic Ocean (Tetrick).
