Colts take on elders

Less than one week before they turn four, 3-year-old colt pacers Roddy's Bags Again and Gryffindor--both sons of Dragon Again--will take on older rivals in the $35,000 Boxing Day Pace at Dover Downs Monday, Dec. 26.



Roddy's Bags Again is coming off a 1:51.4 Matron victory where he upset the field at odds of 24-1. Finishing second in that mile was Gryffindor, who was sent off the 4-5 favorite.

Owned by Robert Messick, Roddy's Bags Again has nine wins, three seconds and six thirds in 26 starts this year, with earnings of more than $326,000. Gryffindor, owned by Three Points Acres, has won 13 of 28 starts, including the Progress Pace at Dover in November and the Messenger Stakes at Harrington in October. Overall his earnings this year stand at more than $700,000.



Included in the Boxing Day feature is Gold Cup & Saucer winner Driven To Win, Bobnoxious, Soligos Hanover, Mark's Secret Love, Flight Sign and Keystone Rodeo.
