Crawford gets 3,000th win

Keith Crawford reached the 3,000th driving win milestone in the Michigan Colt Stakes Blue Circuit races at Big Rapids, Mich., on Wednesday evening.

Crawford picked up two wins on the 15-race card, driving Keystone Raider full sisters Ellaraider in the 2-year-old filly pace and Gina Raider in the 3-year-old filly pace. The 4 1/2-length victory in 2:07.3 was the first lifetime win for Ellaraider, who previously qualified at Hazel Park in 2:00.2. Bred, owned, trained and driven by Crawford, Ellaraider now shows lifetime earnings of $3,571 in three starts.

The 3,000th win came piloting Gina Raider to a 2:02 victory by two lengths; it was the third win this year for the filly, owned by Keith Crawford and Mark Gorge, trained and driven by Crawford who is also the breeder. The win boosted her lifetime earnings to $84,833; her lifetime record of 1:53.1 was taken last year at two.

The Blue Circuit wins boosted Crawford\'s lifetime driving earnings to $12,782,258 and lifetime training earnings to $3,360,311.
