Drivers Dan Daley and Stephane Bouchard were injured in an accident in Race 4 at Saratoga on Thursday afternoon. Daley and Bouchard were both conscious when they left the racetrack for an area hospital.
Daley's son, Dan, posted the following update on his father's condition on Facebook: "So far we know he has several broken ribs, a cracked clavicle, and a collapsed lung. They're monitoring him for internal bleeding and he's spending the night in ICU. He's the strongest man that I know and I'm confident that he'll fully recover... besides, there's horses to train next week!"
Daley was driving the 2-year-old Mister Miami in the race while Bouchard was aboard Sporty Big Boy. Sporty Big Boy was euthanized due to his injuries while Mister Miami was also injured but in stable condition following the race.
An update on Bouchard's condition will be posted when available.
