Trainer Noel Daly told harnessracing.com Monday morning that despite All Speed Hanover’s last-place finish in last Saturday’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup at Mohawk, the colt came out of the race fine and will now be aimed for the $1 million Meadowlands Pace next month.

“He’s fine, he’s fine,” said Daley of All Speed Hanover. “I’m not making excuses, but the way the race turned out, it was a front-end track. I doubt we would have run down that horse (the winning Sportswriter) anyhow. He’s fine and he’ll bounce back.”

Sent off the second favorite in the race coming off a victory in his NA Cup elim, All Speed Hanover left from post four with driver Ron Pierce and got away seventh. Pierce moved All Speed Hanover third-over down the backstretch, following the cover of favorite Rock N Roll Heaven, who eventually finished fourth. After a brief three-wide move in the final turn, All Speed Hanover faded to finish 9 ½ lengths behind Sportswriter.
