On a night so windy the flags stayed mostly unfurled, Artistic Fella made winning Hoosier Park\'s $200,000 Dan Patch Invitational Pace look easy as he scored by open lengths in 1:49.4.

Load The Dice, driven by Hoosier Park ace Don Irvine Jr., Y Knot and Shark Gesture left the gate quickly. Y Knot led the field into the back straighaway but Irvine quickly shot to the front with Load The Dice. Then Brent Holland came with Shark Gesture.

But the early give and go for position didn\'t matter much once Cat Manzi swept to the front with Artistic Fella at about the halfway mark. Artistic Fella cleared to the front and was never seriously threatened as the second tier fell back once the pacesetter hit the top of the homestretch.

Artistic Fella has now won two of three starts this year, which comes after his sophomore campaign when he won 11 of 18, including 10 in a row, a streak which featured a triumph in the Meadowlands Pace.
