David Baird, 76, of Findlay, Ohio, dies

David Errol Baird, 76, died at home in Findlay, Ohio, surrounded by his family, on Oct. 19. He trained and raced Standardbreds and also was a farmer in northwestern Ohio and Michigan.
 
Mr. Baird was born Aug. 8, 1939, to the late David J. and Maxine G. (Evans) Baird in Findlay. He married Lorena (DeeDee Wright) Baird on June 25, 1957 and they divorced in 1977. He later married Brenda (Dysert) Baird and they divorced in 1987. He attended Eagleville Church of Christ for many years and was an auxiliary member of North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. He worked for Baird Excavating and Masonry for 20 years.

Mr. Baird is survived by his children, Deidre (Kurt) Baird Ramthun, Dawn Baird Snyder, David W., Douglas (Karen), Daniel (Cinda), Darrell (Amy)and Amy L. (Jason) Baird Amos; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday (Oct. 22) from 4–7 p.m. at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419.422.1500). Private graveside service will be in Weaver Cemetery with Pastor Will Miller to officiate.
