Denny Hawk dies at 58

Dennis “Denny” Hawk, a top driver at The Meadows in the mid to late 1970s, died Jan. 12 in Florida . He was 58.
Mr. Hawk’s last official drive in a race was on March 22, 1986, at Raceway Park . He drove 685 winners during his career.
At the time of his death, Mr. Hawk was an agent with Farmers Insurance.
He is survived by his mother, Delores Arthur, and step-father, Roger Arthur; a son, Brian; two grandsons, Matthew and William; two brothers, Robert and Keith; three sisters, Jenelle Griesinger, Bonita Lenhart and Lynnette Gerace; a step-brother, Dennis Arthur; three step-sisters, Carol Clum, Deborah Yoakum and Barabara Gudakunst; and nine nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Thursday from 4-7 pm at at the Spence-Miller Funeral Home in Grove City , Ohio .
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckeye Ranch or charity of one’s choice.
