Dewey to stand at Morrisville in NY in 2013

Deweycheatumnhowe 3,1:50.4 ($3,155,178) will stand at Morrisville College in Morrisville, NY, beginning in 2013. The announcement was made by Alan J. Leavitt, president of Walnut Hall Ltd., the Deweycheatumnhowe syndicate manager.

 
The only undefeated Hambletonian winner in the history of harness racing, Deweycheatumnhowe's first crop raced at two in 2012. He had the winners of just under a million dollars,with numerous stakes winners. However, Leavitt stated that he had every confidence Deweycheatumnhowe would emulate two of Leavitt's earlier great sires, Speedy Crown and Speedy Somolli, both of whom established themselves as great sires from their second crop of two-year-olds. Deweycheatumnhowe's second crop will race at two in 2013. Leavitt added that Walnut Hall Ltd. will be breeding 20 of their high powered trotting mares in 2013.

In other stud news from Walnut Hall Ltd., the farm announced that Windsong Espoir, 2,1:55.3 ($763,230), winner of the O'Brien Award as Canada's top 2-Year-Old Trotting Colt in 2007, will stand the 2013 breeding season at Seelser Farms in Lucan, Ontario. The announcement was made by Leavitt, manager of the Windsong Espoir Syndicate.

By leading sire Kadabra, out of Diamond Image by Balanced Image. Windsong Espoir's first crop of two-year-olds will race at two in 2013.
