Saratoga Casino & Raceway kicked off its 2011 harness season on Friday night and Dont Worry B Happy got the season underway with a bang when he won the first race on the card by a whopping 13 1/4 lengths in 1:57.4.

Dont Worry B Happy, a 3-year-old colt by The Panderosa, is trained by Mark Ford, with Brad Kramer handling the driving duties. Shirley LeVin of suburban Chicago bought the colt as a a yearling at the Lexington Selected Sale for $30,000. As a 2 year old Dont Worry B Happy made one start, in a baby race at the Meadowlands while in the care of the Remmen Stable, but he paced in a modest 1:58.4 and never made a start last season.

Dont Worry B Happy is out of the $672,786 winner C'mon Get Happy p,4, 1:50.4, a hard-hitting race mare who made 181 career starts before beginning her breeding career. Dont Worry B Happy is the only bright spot of her second career. The colt is her only foal, and in 2010 she was sold at the 2010 Blooded Horse Sale in Delaware for $1,700 to Lauxmont Farm.
