On this day of flags and salutes to all of our soldiers past and present the 2-year-old colt and gelding pacers kicked off the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund at Dover under cloudy skies.

The first division was raced as an early non-wagering event. The winner from the Harrington series, Chillaxin Away (Roddy’s Bags Again), trained by Jim King Jr. and driven by Tim Tetrick got up by a nose to edge out Dashiki(Barber Pole) and driver Montrell Teague in 1:55.2; last half in 56.1.

Race 1 on the wagering card was won gate to wire by Keepmywiglegametyt (Mr. Wiggles-Airtight) in 1:54.2 for driver Montrell Teague and trainer, Clyde Francis. Son Of A Lynx (Southwind Lynx-Queen Kathy) followed in second for driver Russell Foster and Numbered Account (Roddy’s Bags Again-Mathamomics) was the show horse driven by Jeff Fout. (DSBF)
