Legacy Racing of Delaware's Empress Deo ($6.20, Allan Davis) was a 1:55.1 winner in the $16,000 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
It was one of four wins on the card for Davis, who guided the 8-year-old Rocknroll Hanover mare to her 34th career win in front stepping style over Nerida Franco N and Shesarocker. Trained by Wayne Givens, "Deo" has banked nearly $70,000 in 2019 and more than $625,000 in her career.
Artistic Madison($3.40, Sean Bier) had a successful Delaware debut as the 8-year-old Artistic Fella mare was a 1:54.4 winner for owner James Downer. She had been racing in Canada prior to being sent to trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier.
Youngster Coromandel improved to 2-for-2 lifetime for owner/trainer/driver Ross Wolfenden with a 1:56.2 winner. The Artiscape filly has upcoming New York Sire Stakes engagements after winning two successive overnight events. (Harrington)
