It's been 10 years since Holborn Hanover's race-record 1:46.4 mile, and while the world mark has been equaled a few times since, it's still the all-time standard. This year, arguably more than ever, horsemen are now talking about breaking the 1:46.4 beam, and in the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, David Miller and George Teague Jr. talk about those chances, especially with their respective charges Always B Miki and Wiggle It Jiggleit.

Miki and WIJI drew into separate Ben Franklin eliminations Saturday night at Pocono Downs, but could we see a sub-1:46.4 mile? Also included in the new Weekend Preview is a listing of the fastest miles ever posted by drivers Miller, Tim Tetrick, Yannick Gingras, Brett Miller and George Napolitano Jr.

The Hempt elims are also on tap Saturday at Pocono, and trainer Steve Elliott is hoping Boston Red Rocks bounces back off a fourth-place finish in the North America Cup. Trainer Jonas Czernyson told Kathy Parker his hopes this year for Brooklyn Hill, who starts in an Earl Beal Jr. Memorial elim on his way the Hambletonian.

Friday's Cutler Memorial at the Meadowlands features the return of Resolve after a second-place finish in the Elitlopp in Sweden. Also, in her new Stretch Call column, Andrea Pietrzak takes a look back at NA Cup night at Mohawk and how a few of her friends did in their first trip ever to the harness races.
