The Jimmy Takter-trained entry of Have You Ever and Armbro Bluejay finished first and third, respectively, in the first of three New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for 3-year-old filly trotters at the Meadowlands Wednesday night (June 16). Housethatruthbuilt and In The Shell came up victorious in the other two splits.

Ron Pierce directed the Brittany Farms-owned daughter of Yankee Gllide to the 1:55.2 victory, defeated Ivy Swinger (David Miller) by 1 3/4 lengths. Marcus Johansson, Takter's son-in-law, was in the bike behind Armbro Bluejay.

Trond Smedshammer trains and drives Housethatruthbuilt, who won her split in 1:54.2, the fastest time trotted by a member of her division so far in 2004. Pacific Elegance (Jay Randall) finished 2 1/4 lengths back in second, with Silver Springs (Jan Johnson) third.

Ted Gewertz and Patricia Spinelli own the daughter of Muscles Yankee.

In The Shell, driven by Cat Manzi, won the third NJSS division in 1:54.4. A daughter of Muscles Yankee, In The Shell easily defeated Patsy Fed (Miller) by 3 3/4 lengths, with Myolin (Pierce) third.

Menhammer Stuteri owns In The Shell, who is trained by Jonas Czernyson.
