Foiled Again and Hypnotic Blue Chip were winners in their respective $30,000 eliminations for the Bobby Quillen Memorial Final at Harrington Raceway on Monday, Sept.13.

In the first elimination, Foiled Again and driver Yannick Gingras went wire-to-wire in 1:50.3 to hold off the late rush of Clear Vision and win by one length for owners Burke, Racing Weaver Bruscemi and JJK Stables and trainer Ron Burke.

The 6-year-old Dragon Again gelding has now earned over $1.5 million in his career. Clear Vision, Blueridge Western and Solano followed Foiled Again across the wire and into the $354,000 (est) Sept. 20 final.

In the second division, Hypnotic Blue Chip, the fastest horse currently racing by virtue of his 1:47.2 mile earlier this season, vindicated his owner's faith in being the first-ever Quillen supplement (for $25,000) by sling-shotting from third to a half-length, 1:51.3 win in the second Quillen elim with driver Jody Jamieson aboard for trainer Kevin McDermott and owner Fran Azur.

The 4-year-old Art Major stallion improved his seasonal record to seven wins in 21 starts and career earnings to $1.2 million. From this elimination, he will be joined in the final by defending Quillen champ Won The West, Pangiorno and Mr. Wiggles, all of whom also qualified.
