Foiled Again, the richest pacer in history added a little more to his bankroll in the $25,000 Breeders Crown pace elimination at Pocono Downs on Oct.12, winning handily in 148.2.
Bolt The Duer went straight to the top off the gate with Golden Receiver hot to follow and Foiled Again right behind them as the first panel went in 26.

Yannick Gingras pulled Foiled Again out and glided to the top to pound through a 54.3 half as Warrawee Needy took up chase first over, taking dead aim at Foiled Again.

Those two dueled but Warrawee Needy could not get by Foiled Again as he cut a blistering three-quarters of 121.1. Foiled Again wore down Warrawee Needy, who faded once unable to gain more ground outside. Golden Receiver, huddled in the first four while all the action ensued, tried late but could not stop Modern Legend from edging into second as four pacers lined up to fight for best-of-the-rest status.

Foiled Again is a Dragon Again-In A Safe Place gelding, is trained by Ron Burke for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and JJK Stables.

Foiled Again paid $11.00 to win. Favorite A Rocknroll Dance was never in the fray and finished last, not making the final.

"Getting to the front he was very good,” said Gingras. "I felt really confident. It felt like he was really sharp tonight. He’s had a couple seconds and third and picked up checks, but to win [the Breeders Crown] would definitely mean a lot. This is the time of year when he gets a little sharper and kicks into another gear and it seems like he’s doing it again.”
