Freehold Raceway has announced that live racing scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1, has been cancelled due to a power failure that left the half-mile oval without power since Monday when Hurricane Sandy hit the northeast region.

Simulcasting and live racing will resume once power is restored. Patrons and horsemen are asked to check Freehold Raceway's website, www.freeholdraceway.com for updates.

Favorites at Toms River, N.J. will reopen for simulcasting on Thursday after also having been closed for three days due to a lack of power. (Freehold)
