Quarcio de Chene, a French-bred horse trained by Olle Goop and driven by Bjorn Goop, won the Finlandia Ajo at the Vermo track in Helsinki, Finland, Sunday afternoon. He won the race with a second-over trip in a new race and track mark record of 1:53.3.
Enough Talk, who is owned and trained by American Peter Kleinhans, finished fifth.
Quarcio de Chene is by the French sire Capriccio and is out of a Workaholic mare. Brioni, who finished second in the race, is by Timberland and is out of the exported Florida Pro mare Armbro Edith. Premier Steed, by Workaholic, finished third in the race.
Enough Talk was driven by Luc Ouellette. Ouellette settled him in the middle of the field and then made a move in the last turn, but Enough Talk didn't respond and hung on for fifth. He is scheduled to race next in the Oslo Grand Prix and then later in the month in the Elitlopp.
