French driver Bazire hurt in Vincennes accident

French champion driver Jean Michel Bazire has reportedly suffered a fractured leg as a result of a race accident Thursday afternoon at the Vincennes track in Paris, France, the site just four days ago of the famed Prix d’Amerique.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the start of the fourth race, which sent Bazire tumbling out of the sulky. However, he managed to hold on but was caught between the sulky and the horse for more than 100 feet. When he was finally able to stop the horse he collapsed on the track.
