Frenchfrysnvinegar, who won both legs of the Ms. Versatility Series raced earlier this year at Mohawk Racetrack, scored a wire-to-wire victory in 1:54 in the $153,000 final on Thursday afternoon at the Delaware, Ohio fairgrounds.
Jody Jamieson was again in the sulky behind Frenchfrysnvinegar, who won her Ms. Versatility preliminaries on May 20 and July 1. In Thursday's Ms. Versatility final, Jamieson left from post seven and was able to secure the lead easily when Magic Wheel made a break for Joe Hudon Jr. from post one.
Frenchfrysnvinegar led through fractions of :28, :57.3 and 1:25.2 as she cruised to the victory, easily defeating Panthalops, who rallied furiously up the inside late for David Miller. Cedar Dove finished third for Ron Pierce.
The win was the seventh of the year in 22 starts for Frenchfrysnvinegar, a 7-year-old daughter of Angus Hall who also captured last year's Breeders Crown Older Mare Trot at Woodbine Racetrack. Owned by David Smith, she is trained by Jeff Gillis. With her Ms. Versatility final victory, she increased her career earnings to more than $888,000.
