Eliminations for the Breeders Crown for 3-year-old pacing fillies kicked off the opening night card of the fall meet at the Meadowlands. The winners were Restive Hanover and Chotat Milk.

Restive Hanover rallied from last in her six-horse elim field to win in 1:51.4. Copywriter cut the pace but tired in the stretch drive and faded to fifth, holding on to the last qualifying spot. The other fillies to advance were Modern Medicine, Digga Digga and Born Storyteller.

After a pedestrian :30 second quarter, driver David Miller pulled first-over with Chotat Milk. Chotat Milk, whose last big win had come at the Meadowlands (the Mistletoe Shalee on Hambletonian Day), kept grinding first-over and easily won in 1:53.1. Cabrini Hanover picked up a second-over trip, but labored in the stretch drive before digging in to finish third, just behind West End.

Jugette winner Just Wait Kate finished fourth and Belovedangel was fifth, picking up the final two slots for the final.
