Friday stakes wrap-up

There was stakes action across the continent on Friday (Aug. 22). Flamboro Downs hosted a $69,443(C) Flamboro Breeders Stakes for 3-year-old filly pacers and Burning Point (Camluck) cut the mile to easily grab the 1:55.4 victory.



In Pennsylvania, The Meadows hosted two divisions of the Keystone Classic for sophomore trotting geldings. Rickie (SJ's Photo) got up in the stretch to win his $36,700 split in 1:56.4 with trainer Jim Raymer. Hellava Hush (Lindy Lane) slipped out of the pocket to win his $36,300 event with Dave Palone in 1:57.3.



In New York Sire Stakes action at Yonkers Raceway, on the eve of the Yonkers Trot, 2-year-old pacing colt Vantastic Wizzard (Three Wizzards) led most of the mile to win his $39,309 division in 1:59. Eastern Bull (Easter Sun Hanna) cut out his mile in 1:59.2 and Chocolate Magic (Magical Mike) came up the passing lane to win in 2:02.
