The ongoing contract dispute between Georgian Downs and the Ontario Harness Horse Association still continues to force the Ontario racetrack to be closed, with the site announcing it has canceled its Jan. 9 and Jan. 13 racing programs.
Federal regulations require that an agreement must be in place before any live racing or simulcasting can take place. That means all simulcast wagering at Georgian Downs, Casino Rama and Riverside Inn has also been canceled for the present time.
