Ghee’s House built up a strong lead over his fellow 2-year-old colt pacers and cruised home a winner in the $80,000 New Jersey Futurity Friday afternoon at Freehold in 1:56.1.

Driver Ron Pierce and Ghee’s House never left the rail, winning by a widening 4 3/4 lengths. Babic Memorial winner Watta Hotshot finished second with Rep Tie third.

Ghee’s House is a colt by Western Ideal trained by Robert Siegelman for lessee The Cheyenne Gang of Port Washington, N.Y. Ghee’s House sports six wins in 10 starts this year, including the $35,000 New Jersey Green Acres final. He shows earnings of $88,450.
