Googoo Gaagaa easy 1:57.4 winner

Googoo Gaagaa was back to his winning ways on Thursday night as he captured a $20,555 Maryland Standardbred Race Fund event in 1:57.4 at Ocean Downs. With Corey Callahan driving for trainer Richard Hans, he won by open lengths over Windshield, who was undefeated in six starts this season. Googoo Gaagaa was making his first start since breaking stride in the Stanley Dancer Memorial at the Meadowlands.
 
In other Maryland Race Fund action, Bill Miller, the former head of Rosecroft Raceway, won the $20,175 event for 3-year-old filly trotters with his homebred filly Prosperity. The daughter of Revenue-Panarail (by Donerail) wired the field in 1:59.2. Tony Morgan handled the driving while John Roach trains the filly.
 
Also on the card, Flying Instructor, a colt by Badlands Hanover, won the $13,175 event for 3-year-old pacers by 4 1/2 lengths in 1:54.4. Callahan drove the colt for trainer Wayne Givens.
 
Oh Amanda, a daughter of Metropolitan, won the $25,400 event for 3-year-old pacing fillies in 1:58.3. It was the third win this season for the filly trained by Les Givens and driven by Jim Morand.
