Go On BB wins 2011 Dover debut

Go On BB picked right up where she left off in 2010 winning the first $26,000 Mares Open of the New Year at Dover Downs on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Matt Kakaley wait until her rivals had gotten away to take the lead and Go On BB continued on to set winning fractions in a 1:52.3 victory, her second in a row and third in three local starts. The sport’s defending champion trainer Ron Burke conditions the Dontgetinmyway-Challo BB seven-year-old for Fran Baldachino. The Indiana-bred has now won $1,165,563 lifetime. Alice’s Restaurant (Corey Callahan) closed with a rush to finish second losing by a neck with Wish All You Want (Eric Goodell) the third-place finisher.

Overlooked a 6-1 drawing the outside post, Boots Place followed the parked-out from the start  Ireneonthemove before moving three-wide on the final turn and then rolled on for a 1:53.3 victory, her third straight, to win the $18,000 distaff pace. Donttellmewhattodo (Allan Davis) held second in front of Hot Lips (Corey Callahan0 third after being locked in until midway down the stretch.

In a $17,000 4&5-Year-Old Mares pace, Arty Foster’s 7-1 Elizabeth Ann overtook 70-1 Joanna Allen (George Dennis) in deep stretch for a 1:55.3. 21-year-old Russ Foster drove the Western Terror-Yes Yes four-year-old to the 1:55.3 victories. Ideal Observation (Tim Curtin) was third.
