According to published reports, Brad Hanners, the leading money-winning driver and second-leading dash driver at Dover Downs, has been suspended after exceeding usage guidelines for a prescription drug. Hanners, 31, admitted taking the pain-killer Percocet, for a back injury sustained in a racing accident.

According to Allen J. Cook Jr., the acting presiding judge at Dover Downs, Hanners will be tested again before he can be approved to race.

"In the opinion of the judges, they didn't think he was fit to be driving," John Wayne, the state's executive director for racing with the state commission, was quoted as saying. "Having a prescription drug is one thing, and the amount is another."
