Harlingen Hanover hot at Harrington

James Behrendt’s Harlingen Hanover ($4.80, Roger Plante Jr.) earned his 4th win of the season with a 1:53.1 win in the $18,600 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway.

Trained by Plante, the 5-year-old Badlands Hanover gelding assumed the lead early from JK Lullabye and never looked back in his two length win. JK Lullabye held second while Chilli NZ was third. ‘Harlingen’ came very close to securing a second straight $100,000-plus season after banking $151,085 in 2010, he has more than $94,000 earned in 2011.

Drivers Ross Wolfenden and Jim Morand had three winners on the program.
