Hello Carlo greets winner's circle for 50th time

Hello Carlo trotted home for his 50th career victory on Monday, winning Northfield Park's third race of the evening. The classy veteran trotter has 223 career starts, winning 50 times, and finishing second and third 31 and 28 times, respectively.
 
Hello Carlo (Carry The Message-Last Turn-Supergill) has career earnings of $248,678 and a lifetime mark of 1:55.4 taken at Scioto Downs at age five. The trotter's richest win was for a purse of $12,000 in an Open II race at Scioto Downs in 2012.
 
Hello Carlo started from post five and remained fifth through an opening quarter of :27.4. He mounted a successful first-over mission through fraction of :57.4, 1:27.4 and 1:58.2. He finished 4 1/2 lengths clear of his closest competitor, Tory (Tyler Smith). Hello Carlo returned $6 to win.
 
Marion Caponi of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio owns Hello Carlo. Trainer Larry Clabaugh called upon Josh Sutton to drive for this milestone triumph. (Northfield Park)
