Meadowlands’ director of media relations Carol Hodes has told harnessracing.com she will be leaving the track sometime early in 2007 after taking the buyout offered by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority.

Hodes, a graduate of George Washington University with a BA in journalism, has worked for the Sports Authority for 25 years after a stint as a sports reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger. She has also served as the media director of Monmouth Thoroughbred track over her career.

“I will always have a strong bond with the Meadowlands and the people with whom I work in the \'bunker\' and the horsemen who have been so generous with their time and knowledge,” Hodes told harnessracing.com “I have 25 years of wonderful memories.”
