The Breeders Crown championships may be in the books but several finalists are back in action this weekend, including some of the winners. In the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, we take a look at Friday night’s stakes races at Harrah’s Hoosier Park and Saturday night’s Kindergarten finals at the Meadowlands.

Peaky Sneaky, who won the Crown 3FP final at Hoosier, has remained in Indiana for Friday’s USS Indianapolis, and among her nine rivals are a pair of Bob McIntosh trainees, including Perfect Storm and supplemental entry Sex Appeal. Also back on the track at Hoosier is Cattlewash, who came o-so-close in the Crown 3CP, and Play Trix For Me, who came even closer to winning in the Crown 3CT.

Play Trix For Me is one of four Crown finalists in the Carl Erskine for 3-year-old male trotters. The race includes world champion It’s Academic, who is riding a three-race win streak and is now racing for owner Brad Grant, who recently purchased the trotter.

In the Kindergarten final for 2-year-old colt trotters, trainer Bruce Saunders and driver Corey Callahan have a lot to say about Dee’s Red Delicous, including why the name is spelled that way. And we take a look at the first two days of the Standardbred Horse Sale’s yearling auction at Timonium, Md.
