Driver Phil Hudon and trainer Erv Miller will both be looking to capture tonight's $709,000 Governor's Cup final at Woodbine Racetrack. After celebrating the biggest win of his career in the $600,000 Breeders Crown final, Hudon will once again team up with Big Jim in tonight's eighth race. The son of Western Ideal has been given post nine for trainer James 'Friday' Dean and owner Jim Carr.

A $35,000 yearling purchase from last years Harrisburg Yearling Sale, Big Jim has earned $479,580 this season and a 1:50.2 record. Tonight, Big Jim will be looking to be victorious once again over Breeders Crown runner-up Shadyshark Hanover. That son of Cams Card Shark won last weeks single elimination in a career best of 1:50.4 for trainer Erv Miller. Shadyshark Hanover has earned $347,582 this season from 11 starts and will begin from post three.

Owned by Miller and partners John Fielding, Richard Strachan and Ronald Michelon, Shadyshark Hanover was a $90,000 yearling purchase from last year's Standardbred Horse Sales Company auction in Harrisburg, Pa.

Both horses were bred and sold by Hanover Shoe Farms of Hanover, Pa.

Last night, Phil Hudon and Erv Miller offered their thoughts to WEG's media department on the rich final. To view the interview on the Woodbine Entertainment website, click here. (WEG)
