Hypnotic AM is now four-for-four in her career after a strong effort in the $310,700 James Doherty Memorial for two-year-old filly trotters, sponsored by SRF Stables. Driven by Brian Sears for Marcus Melander, the Chapter Seven-Daydream Am S lass established a new lifetime best Saturday, August 3 at The Meadowlands, trotting the mile in 1:53.

Drawing post five in the field of 10, Sears was able to get away fourth early as Solsbury Hill and Scott Zeron left from the rail, joined by Hello Tomorrow and David Miller leaving from post nine. After a :27.1 opening panel, Hello Tomorrow led the field, but Yannick Gingras and Crucial would move from third on the backstretch, reaching the top racing to a :55.4 first half. Sears was soon out and moving with Hypnotic AM, trotting up alongside the leader in the turn (1:25.3) before drawing clear in the lane. Sherry Lyns Lady and Tim Tetrick kicked home for the runner-up spot, followed by Hello Tomorrow and Crucial.

Bred by Courant AB and owned by Courant Inc. of Delray Beach, Florida, Hypnotic AM scored the biggest payday of her young career. Earning $155,350 in victory, the filly now possess a bankroll of $204,700. She paid $3.00, $2.40 and $2.20.
