I’m Won Wine Wiser may be a tongue twister to say but she is a good one for bettors to follow winning her fourth consecutive victory in the week’s top distaff event, the $16,000 mares winners-over pace on Tuesday at Dover Downs.
Driver George Dennis and his wife Tiny bred and own I’m Won Wine Wiser, a 5-year-old daughter of Modern Art-La Gloria Cubana who is on a race-winning tear. She turned back a strong group of female challengers in the Tuesday 1:52.3 feature holding off fast-finishing VC Atom N (Vince Copeland) closing along the passing lane and Tryst (Ron Pierce) coming on the outside.
The win was the fourth of the year in five outings for I’m Won Wine Wiser, now a winner of $29,260 this year. Her total bankroll is $127,419 lifetime.
Earlier, Jim Morand drove Jeff Clark’s Itz Cherry Ripe N to victory in 1:52.1 in the other $16,000 pace for females. The Courage Under Fire-Itzqueenofnewyork mare won for the second time in 2012 with two seconds in four starts. Freedom Crossing (Ross Wolfenden) was second best with Honey B Skipalong (Copeland) third.

Corey Callahan had three winners on the card. Dylan Davis had an owner-trainer double. Both Tony Morgan and Matt Kakaley moved one-win closer to career milestones. Morgan now has 13,991 wins, Kakaley 1991. (Dover Downs)
