Iron Legend wins series

Iron Legend, who was purchased by Mark Silva and Mathias Meinzinger on Jan. 8 after the horse raced in the first leg of the Clyde Hirt Series, won the $90,000 series final Saturday night (Jan. 31) at the Meadowlands.



Silva and Meinzinger paid $100,000 for Iron Legend, a 4-year-old by the sire Life Sign. With Ron Pierce driving, Iron Legend won the Clyde Hirt Series final by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:52.2.
