All About Justice blew by his cover late to win the featured condition trot on Friday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The race, for winners of over $25,000 lifetime, carried the night’s top purse of $29,000.
Leaving from post position six in a field of nine at odds of 9-2, All About Justice, who won in this same class a week ago for trainer Gail Wrubel, settled sixth in the early going. After relaxing him early, driver Tim Tetrick sent the 6-year-old gelding on the outside on the back stretch to follow the cover of 5-2 favorite Calchips Brute. All About Justice then swung to the far outside in the stretch and pulled by Calchips Brute near the finish to win by 1 1/4 lengths. And Heez Perfect finished third.
All About Justice, owned by John Furfaro of Hillsborough, N.J. and Mike Simons of Pittston Township, Pa., and sired by SJ’s Caviar, won his second straight race and his 4th in 11 tries this year. He now has 17 career victories with lifetime earnings of $236,313. (Pocono)
