With his trotting colt Walner missing out on a chance to capture this year's the Hambletonian, Ken Jacobs is still looking for a Hambletonian winner and he picked a potential candidate at the third session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale on Wednesday night. Jacobs bought Hip 368, a Muscle HIll colt, for $335,000.

Bred by Southwind Farm, where Walner is slated to begin his career as a sire next year, Hip 368 is named Southwind Bugz, and the colt is out of the Andover Hall mare Missymae Bluestone, the dam of Southwind Mozart 3, 1:54.3f; 4, 1:51.4f and Southwind Cocoa 2, 1:55.2. Preferred Equine Marketing consigned the colt on behalf of Southwind.

Prices continued to be strong on Thursday night, with a total of 9 yearlings selling for prices of $100,000 or more. After Southwind Bugz, the second-most expensive yearling in the group was Hip 375, a Trixton colt out of Nashville Lindy, the dam of Shake It Off Lindy 2, 1:55. Oskar Flored had the final bid of $140,000 and signed the sales slip for the colt named Lindy Express for trainer Ake Svanstedt.

A dark bay colt from the first crop of Sunshine Beach, selling as Hip 416, slowed the closing minutes of the third session as bidders steadily drove his price to $185,000, with Gino Toscani having the final bid. Consigned by Spring Haven Farm, agent, the Ontario-eligible colt is the first foal of the Jereme's Jet daughter Takealilridewithme. The second dam of the yearling is Riding Around, the dam of Riding The Rapids p,3, 1:52.2f.
