Jake\'s Nordic fastest at Harrington

Dan and Thomas Courtemanche\'s Jake\'s Nordic (Tim Curtin, $11.20) returned to Harrington Raceway a winner Wednesday in the $21,000 Junior Open Trot, winning in 1:55.4.

The time was the fastest of the meet so far for a trotter at Harrington. The 9-year-old Keystone Nordic gelding set all the fractions, after gaining the lead from post five with fractions of :28.2, :58, and 1:27.3. He prevailed by two lengths over Laser Lavec and Vicki Gram for his 62nd career win and sixth triumph of the year. \"Jake\" had previously been racing at Chester Downs.

In the $18,000 subfeatured trot, Scott Woogen\'s Bengali ($5.20, Frank Milby) earned his fourth win in a row. (Harrington)
