Jereme\'s Jet, with John Campbell driving, time-trialed in 1:47 flat Saturday afternoon at The Red Mile, the third fastest mile in history, behind only Cambest\'s 1:46.1 time trial in 1993 at Springfield, Ill., and Holborn Hanover\'s 1:46.4 win in the U.S. Pacing Championship at the Meadowlands last year.
Jereme\'s Jet posted fractions of :27.2, :53.3 and 1:20.1 before closing out his mile with a final quarter of :26.4. The 4-year-old son of Western Hanover out of the Illinois champion mare Ohyouprettything was coming off a second-place finish in a Winbak division at the Delaware, Ohio fairgrounds on Jug day. He has made 11 starts this year for trainer Tom Harmer and Jolene Leahy\'s Genesis Racing Stable.
