Joe Parisi dies; services announced

Joseph Parisi, who bred and campaigned stakes winners Darlin\'s Delight and Hot Lead, among others, died Saturday at age 78. Parisi was president of White Birch Farm, where he kept a broodmare band and also operated a training center.
Parisi won the 1996 Meadowlands Pace with Hot Lead and in recent years has campaigned the top stakes filly Darlin\'s Delight, who he also bred.
He is survived by his sons Michael and Joseph and daughter Camille. He was predeceased by his wife Marie.
Visitation will be held at Papavero Funeral Home, 7227 Grand Ave., Maspeth, NY, 11378, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Transfiguration Church, 64-14 56th Road, Maspeth, NY 11378, on Wednesday at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. John\'s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, 108F Old York Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08620
