A Commonwealth Court Judge in Pennsylvania has refused to extend a stay granted to owner Bob Waxman regarding his recently-imposed suspension initially given by the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission.

Waxman had four horses entered in Saturday's (Nov. 8) Ontario Sire Stakes Super finals at Mohawk Racetrack and with Ontario's reciprocal suspension also being stayed while awaiting the Judge's decision, they will now have to be scratched.

Waxman had initially been suspended in Pennsylvania for financial irresponsibility. Other jurisdictions, including Ontario, New Jersey and Illinois followed suit. Because of the reciprocity of the suspensions, several other Waxman-owned horses already had to be scratched, most notably pacing filly Loyal Opposition out of the American-National at Balmoral Park Nov. 1.
