Just A Jolt wins Dover opening feature

Just A Jolt picked right up where he left off on closing day last season winning the $30,000 opening day $20,000 Open Pace on Monday at Dover Downs, overtaking front-pacing Dancin Yankee in deep stretch for a 1:51.1 victory.
Tim Tetrick sat second behind the Jim King trainee from the start and had just enough to rush by Dancin Yankee and Eric Goodell in the final strides for eighth victory of the year increasing his seasonal earnings to $136,180 for owner Janet Hudson. Special T Rocks was placed third.
The win was the second for owner Hudson, who also made the winner's circle with Little Ben after a 1:52 score in a $14,000 winners-over pace, and the third winner for driver Tetrick and trainer King.
Eric Goodell piloted a double winning the sub-feature $18,000 Open behind the Bobby Wyatt-conditioned Remember Me VK in 1:50.2 for Sharon Wyatt, Robin West and Ron Benton. Major Uptrend led until deep stretch and finished second. Bad Boy Matt was third for Allan Davis. Next, Goodell steered Summer Camp home for trainer Josh Green and owner L&J Racing in 1:52.2 to win a $12,500 pace
A pair of Rocknroll Hanover geldings collaborated for the daily double. Corey Callahan guided Tom Lazzaro's Rocknroll Jewel to a 1:50.3 triumph in the first. Rocknroll Power completed the double with a 1:55.1 win in the second for JoAnn King. (Dover Downs)
